The Huntress

Hunting was never a choice I had to make. It was just there.

When I was a child, my father took me to the Lower Austrian Alpine foothills—a region that has stayed with me to this day. Amid the forests and mountain meadows, I formed a connection with nature that has shaped my entire life.

Over the years, it became much more than just a tradition. It became a passion that transcends boundaries. My first international hunting trip took me to Romania—a country that continues to fascinate me as a hunter to this day. This passion turned into a journey of discovery: across four continents, through hunting grounds, landscapes, and cultures that I could only dream of as a child.

In the process, I realized something that would later become the foundation of ARTIO: The most wonderful hunting trips are never just about the hunt itself. They are encounters—with people, with cultures, with unique landscapes, and sometimes even with oneself.

The Founder

ARTIO wasn't born out of a business plan. It was born out of my belief that extraordinary hunting trips deserve extraordinary guidance.

I know the hunting grounds, the partners, and the behind-the-scenes stories not from brochures, but from my own experience. I’ve visited lodges, inspected concessions, and gotten to know the people to whom I entrust my guests.

Every ARTIO trip is the result of this personal effort: with a keen eye for detail and the knowledge that a truly special trip begins long before departure.

The Author

In September 2025, my first book on hunting, *Wild Life Style – Hunting Around the World*, was published.

It is not a hunting book in the traditional sense. It tells of journeys across several continents, of extraordinary moments, of people and cultures—and of the thoughts that arise when one has the courage to venture down unknown paths.

It also tells the story of how ARTIO came to be. And what these hunting stories have taught me about curiosity, responsibility, friendship, and life.

The Expert

My career path has also taken me into a second field that, at first glance, seems very different. At its core, however, it’s all about the same things: trust, responsibility, and the ability to make clear decisions.

For many years, I have been advising companies and organizations in the areas of risk management, governance, compliance, and strategic corporate management. As the owner of my own consulting firm and a member of the supervisory board of a major Austrian banking group, I combine analytical precision with entrepreneurial vision.

This philosophy also defines ARTIO: I personally select each partner, review every detail myself, and guarantee discretion in everything I promise my guests.

The SCI President

In 2023, I founded the SCI Austria Chapter and, as president, took on the responsibility of leading the Austrian branch of one of the most prominent international hunting organizations.

As an SCI International Board Member, an official SCI Measurer, an SCI Life Member, and a GSCO Life Member, I am deeply rooted in the international hunting community. This exchange with hunters, outfitters, and decision-makers from around the world continually broadens my perspective—and also strengthens the international network behind ARTIO.
